I’m thrilled to launch a new interview series with AI experts on my YouTube channel, where I’ll be diving into the latest AI trends, insights, and strategies reshaping marketing today. This series kicks off with an insightful conversation with Steve Phillips, Founder, Chair, and Chief Innovation Officer at Zappi, where we discuss how AI is transforming consumer insights, market research, and product development.

Marketing has always relied on consumer insights to shape campaigns, messaging, and product positioning. AI is helping companies do this better than ever before. As businesses continue integrating AI into their strategies, marketers need to adapt, learn, and leverage AI tools effectively. Unlocking AI’s Power in Market Research

In my conversation with Steve Phillips from Zappi, we explored how AI is revolutionizing market research by enhancing speed, accuracy, and the ability to act on consumer insights. Zappi, a leading AI-powered consumer insights platform, is integrating AI into every stage of the research process, allowing businesses to make smarter, faster, and more data-driven decisions.

One of the most significant advancements in this space is the rise of AI-powered agents, which Zappi is actively developing and launching soon. Traditionally, market research firms provided static reports, leaving marketing teams to determine the next steps. Now, AI agents can take insights and turn them into action, generating new product ideas, refining ad campaigns, and optimizing messaging based on real-time consumer feedback.

According to Steve, AI significantly reduces the time required to develop and test marketing strategies. Instead of spending weeks brainstorming and refining ideas, companies can now generate multiple creative concepts in hours, test them with real consumer feedback, and quickly iterate based on AI-driven insights. This shift makes AI a game-changer in marketing strategy execution.

But while AI unlocks incredible efficiency, it also depends on data quality. Steve emphasized that AI is only as good as the data it’s trained on. Businesses must ensure their data is structured, reliable, and harmonized across platforms to maximize AI’s potential. Without this foundation, AI-generated insights may be misleading or ineffective.

Another key takeaway from our discussion was that AI should be viewed as a powerful assistant, not a replacement for human expertise. While AI can process vast amounts of data, it still requires marketers to challenge insights, refine outputs, and ensure the information aligns with real-world business goals.
